The Guyana National Flag

The Golden Arrowhead is green with a red isosceles triangle superimposed on a long yellow arrowhead. A thin black border is between the red and yellow, and a white one between the yellow and the green.

The Green is symbolic to the Agricultural and Forested Nature of Guyana.
The White is symbolic to the many Rivers and Water Potential of Guyana.
The Yellow is symbolic to the Mineral Wealth.
The Black portrays the endurance that will sustain the forward thrust of the Guyanaese people.
The Red represents the zeal and dynamic nature of Nation-Building which lies before the young and Independent Guyana.
